Fairly similar. mine with the suppressor is about 18lbs.

Another great Accurate Ordnance built 6mm Creedmoor.

24" 1-8 .237 Bartline barrel with APA little bastard brake blended in.

TAC30 action with 20moa stiller base.

Timney 510 with some work to get it to 1lb 0.8oz

Carbon XLR chassis

Steiner 5-25x56 MSR reticle mounted in a 20moa bobro mount.

Atlas bipod.

The barreled action was originally going to be for one of my other manners t5a's that is a different color but I picked up the XLR the morning before the barreled action came in so I figured I'd give it a shot and I actually like it a lot so I may have to have the barreled action coated a different color, live with it or rattle can it.

Shooting bn coated 105gn hybrids around 3150fps but final load development hasn't been done yet since we left for the lake the day everything came in, hence the picture in the pier that I really wished I could shoot off of! :)

No its Logan Martin lake in Talladega/Pell city area of Alabama. The barreled action is Barrett bronze which I really like but doesn't go so well with the carbon XLR. I've had a few in this color and they look great in the manners black forest pattern which I don't have a picture of on this phone. I stuck it in the XLR just to see how I liked and also for my wife to try since it's pretty light and has a ton of adjustability in the rear stock which is something she didn't like about my manners (lop was to long for her in some positions and she needed the butt pad to raise up a little for a good solid comfortable cheek weld) she hasn't shot it yet but from in the house shouldering it and whatnot she seems to like it. I'm waiting on a 6mm Slr reamer to come in and then AO will build another setup on a rem 700 action I have or if she's going to get serious about the matches I'll have it built on a titanium action with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and a 100% carbon fiber fill elite manners setup to keep the weight down. Recoil is nothing with the 6mm stuff with a brake even in a 7-8lb rifle which is where I would want it if I was going to drop that kind of cash for her an ultra lightweight setup.

Iron crawl let us know how your load development goes, I'm looking to do a 6mm Creedmoor for my next build.
Toni

This is my second one. The first one was ran at 3150fps using h4350 or h100v. About 41.8-42.6 depending on the powder with cci 250 Magnum primers. I'm using cci Br2s now and bn coated bullets so a few things have changed on the second one..

Yea, that was a color I was checking out also. I thought yours looked more like Smiths Brown or Federal Standard Field Drab in light. Them colors are deceiving in light vs. shade. Are you really getting the 6mmSLR reamer!!!!!!!?? Witch freebore?? I ain't licking your nuts but that's my second favored comp. round! Damn! I thought about purchasing the 6.5SLR reamer version myself! With the 6mm version you have 3 different freebores. 1. .120 2. .075 3. .040. The shortest one is more for semi auto uses. If you don't mind find out your freebore and keep me posted please. "These SLR cartridges are the future Top Dogs!

That's cool your old lady wants to shoot. Mine left me. I guess I should have got her into shooting. She left me for a crooked pig and some horses. Lol! Thiers a couple down here at Benning that is friends with some folks I know. She's sponsored by Ashbury I think?

James and Melissa Gilliland is who you are talking about. I've shot with them a good bit and they are good people.

I honestly don't know the reamer specs. I told Mark at Accurate Ordnance to make it happen so they ordered it and will be doing all the work. I trust them to do what's best. The reamers they use come from JGS.

Lol!! Useful??? I try to keep things interesting, that's all. I should be able to get some picks up here in a few weeks I guess. My rifle is supposedly being chambered this week and painted. After that, ain't nothing to do but bed it. To be completely honest I feel like a kid right before Christmas!!! I have to drop one more money order in the mail Monday, plus send my factory mount back out to the Smith. I left it out after completing the FFL transaction and sending it back to him. I was supposed to get a custom mount with rings from a machinist but a little bird said, "being here on the Hide put an end to that.... " Go figure! So I'm just leaving the base how it was. ANYWAY, you said that Swagger like we may have some friends in common. It's a small world. But a smaller long range community... ;) ;) ;)
Hey BullyDog... How's it going buddy? At an average of almost 11 posts per day, I have yet to see a pic of your rig.. I'd love to see what you are brandishing.. Especially since you have so much useful information to bestow upon us..

I doubt anyone on here would like to see the guns we have here now. Their just hunting rifles and shotguns. My AR got stolen in late summer 2008. If they did want to see, someone would have to show me how to up load the pics. When I get my rifle back, I was just going to ask my sister to upload it to her computer and send it. She can get in from my brother in laws account at the Hide. I've shot with some of you guys I bet.

I hope your reamer doesn't take 2 months as well. I bet you can't stand the wait! I've called around to a few people and even found one for rent. Its always best to buy your own though, so if you get a "gem", you will always be able to recreate it. Good luck with the future project.

Yea, good stock choice. I have a 90% Shell from Manners and I am in love with it. Light weight!!! Your wife will love the 100% shell. Manners use to make them when they first started selling stocks. They done went back...

cheers mate, i got the S&B in April, sold the vortex onwards to a bloke in NSW. gotta say im happy to have a complete setup that i am 100% happy with . everything else i was always trying to make work for me, this just does it!

Top pic mate! when did you get the S&B last picture I saw of your AI was at Belmont with the Vortex???

in QLD its a bit harder due to public land restrictions. Vic and Tassie are good though, you just need to get out and meet some people with a similar interest and property access!

it's worth trying the Aussie forums including Austargets.com , i met up with people off there and it has been great.

We are certainly very lucky here in Australia plenty of big open spaces to shoot, pity our laws make it difficult to able to shoot though.

New to the long range game. Started my build a few months ago. Here she is so far.

Knawx that is a slick looking rig, hope it shoots as well as it looks.

Toni, it's getting there. I'm in load development right now. So far I've seen some pretty awesome groups ranging from 1.5" to 5/8" - I need to get new rings and scope base because I don't even know what's on it. When I bought the original gun the local shop put the current rings and base on it and I'm sure they are just a cheap set to hold the scope in place but who knows who well. haha

they look like Burris Zee rings, not anything wrong there unless you need a different height. show us a closeup pic of the side with the bolt head and it'll be obvious if they're Zee rings.

Knawx, I would see how it shoots you may be very happy with it. Then if you want play with bits & pieces go for it mate, your in the right place to find all the good gear required to get it to shoot. Plenty of great people & advise on here. I have been very blessed to have got in contact with fella's that have been a tremendous help, both in the way of advise & purchasing quality gear.

Yeah I'd rather not purchase new rings and base if I can help it, but if the one's that the gun store put on when I bought the gun are junk, then I have no problem upgrading them. But yeah, if I could spend that money somewhere else like on reloading supplies that would be awesome.

Here are a couple more photos that should give a better look at the current rings and base.
