precision rifles... show em

My first 308 photo-1.JPGphoto-2.jpg

This is nothing exotic but I started my 700 5R .308 project 4-5 years ago with a fixed power SWFA scope. I've since added a Kahntrol clamp on muzzle brake, a KRG bolt lift, a few other pieces and a lot of ammo ... together we now do a pretty good job out to 900-1000 yards. I just got it back this week from LongRifles Inc where they did a fantastic job fitting this Surgeon bottom metal. Someday I'll post something here more trick but for now this is a pretty solid shooter! DBM Full Crop.jpgDBM Close Crop.jpg

My 6.5 Creedmoor from LongRifles Inc just showed up. They did a killer job building this rifle. Fit and finish are amazing. If this rifle shoots half as good as it looks, then I'm going to be a very happy customer.
Now if only my Vortex Razor II 4.5-27 would hurry up and get here.

Very nice rifle. Where did you get that engineering drawing? I would love to have one for a couple of calibers to put on the wall.

I made that drawing in AutoCad. I had a bare spot on my wall by my reloading bench that needed to be filled. So I made my own poster.
I created a border, redrew the SAAMI specs, then 3D modeled the 6.5CM cartridge and used that as the side images. I printed out 17"x24" on one of the plotters at work.

Never seen that chassis before, what did it cost? Their site doesn't have a price

It's an AAC adapter .
Do you mean increase the vibration of the barrel after the bullet exits .
Either way it's easily a .3 rifle and the adapter protects the muzzle so I'm keeping it.

Yeah, I recognized it.
That, but maybe also before it does. Probably not a noticeable difference, but I'm just curious :)
A thread protector would protect the threads as well, and so would a brake. Might be interesting to see the differences.

All this looking at rifles makes me want to go shoot. Been getting ready for deer season, but now I want to chunk some lead. Not too many people around here into precision. Mostly hunters that are happy if they hit an 8" plate once at 150 yards. I guess I need to drum up a shooting partner.
