Sean, I like the new website.

It was good to shoot with you last weekend.

One of these days I'll drive down and take your class myself: the price is right, and you certainly know your stuff!

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

Hey Graham
Good shooting with you too, just wish we could have done the barricades I have practiced those a ton, since I teach them as a basic skill. Would love to have you come down, been getting alot of guys from up north, and they have been great groups from NY, NJ so get a group from Michigan and come on down!!

The Reade Range match was really good, I like that you didn't know how you were doing till the end of the day, makes you stick to the basics.

Thanks for the compliment on the web site, have a good one, and see you at the next match.

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

Will be at Pasquotank, or I'd prolly hook this up.

My basic positions need work, though my long range trigger-pulling is starting to come together. I need someone looking over my shoulder for a couple days to ensure my positions and are sound and that I'm practicing the correct things correctly. Lots to learn.

When's the next one?

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

AAR
I thought I would share alittle about the May 22-23rd PSR1, and show a few pictures. First let me say that I'm not a writer by any means, as you will probably see. Both days started at 0700 for you military minded, Sean gave us a full day both days with Saturday driving back to the hotel in the dark. There were students there from as far away as Massachusetts, and a wide range of professions and skill levels. So Sean had his hands full trying to get everyone shooting to the rifles capability. Saturday was spent in the class room till noon then driving to the range and where we spent the rest of the day shooting at 100 and 300 yards. On Sunday everyone checked their 300 yd coldbore and after a little time doing a few refresher groups we were on our way to the 600, 700, 800, and 965yrd line. This is were I really have to commend Sean, he gave the one's that were living up to his expectations alittle freedom to try reading the wind and mirage as they took turns trying to hit steel at 965, while he fell back and gave extra attention to the few that were having some trouble. He also squeezed in time to run almost everyones rifle though the conogragh giving pointers on ammo and rifle combinations. Sean teaches with a no non-sense approach, he barks, you do, probably got that while in the Marines, funny, it works, by the end of the day Sunday everyone was hitting steel with regularity at 800, and the fortunate ones steel at 965. I also want to reiterate something I read about another class Sean taught, off the range Sean will hang with the students, grab a bite to eat etc, I really believe Sean wants to spend the extra time with the students to make sure they understand what he is teaching, and are going to go away from the class having learned something about long range shooting. To sum this up, if you want to learn alot, shoot some distance, and do it for a very fair price, Sean Little at Vapor Trail Tactical has a course for you.

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

Thanks for a great review, everyone did an outstanding job and really improved over the weekend. It went by like a rocket it seems, and I'm glad you guys didn't get me out drinking on Sat night!! We were out late enough as it was!! LOL

Even Uri did a great job and shot really well with a rifle he had never handled or a scope that no one had handled before, I wish I could have gotten in alot more but I want the focus to be the fundamentals and drive them home.

Looking forward to see everyone again sometime either at another class, on the range or at a match.

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

That has actually happened twice but I got it out as soon as I left, wish I had done it earlier in the day but just suffered thru. Now the chrono box has a pc of tape on it that says "Wear Safety glasses" in big letters!!

Re: Precision Scoped Rifle I - May 22/23 N.C.

Let me jump on the bandwagon with a great report from Sean's class and this weekend overall. I am new to LR shooting and didn't know what to expect from the class. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Having never shot beyond 300yds before, I am now confident with my .308 system out to 800+. I view this as quite an accomplishment in one weekend!

Sean's style is straightforward and effective, and worked well across a range of shooters, from me to experienced. Getting out on this class is well worth the time and money.

It's also worth noting that Sean's class attracts great people. Everyone in the class were quality hombres!
