Predator Custom Shop build.

Jim from Predator Custom Shop called me the other day and told me that a customer he had built a rifle for had come back to him and decided he wanted to sell it. Apparently the customer had worked up a load for it and was basically bored with its accuracy and decided he wanted to start something completely different.

So he brought it back to Predator and put it up on consignment and after seeing the price I couldnt resist.


Build specs are:

Rem 700 short action blueprinted by Predator
Rock 22 inch fluted barrel
Jewell Trigger
Manners T4 Stock
Fluted bolt
US Optics Base
USO Rings
USO 3.2x17x44 SN-3 w/ EREC knob
Elite Iron MB and .30 Bravo Suppressor.

I took the stock off this weekend to install the rail for the Atlas Bipod and got a chance to scour over the rifle and check out the build quality. I must say, the guys at Predator do a fine job! I cant wait to shoot it.

The previous owner supplied the conformation test target, under .5 MOA. The customer also had a few targets in the paperwork that he had shot that were quite impressive as well.....little 5 round bug holes.

Jim's shop does excellent work! He did 28 rifles for my department and they are all extremely good shooters. The worst when new were 1/2 MOA, and as they got rounds shot through them improved. I have had them build three for me personally and again they are all you could ask for. I am waiting on my new build that I am expecting sometime this week or next, it tested very well just like the others. I don't think you can go wrong with them. Once they get the parts in they are pretty quick with the build, and charge very reasonable prices.

I'm guessing the caliber is .308 Winchester?

It's Seekins bottom metal.

I like their mag release, it keeps similar to an AR style which I'm so used to.
