Have any of you been able to compare the predator tactics coyote reaper spotlight to some of the other high end lights for predator/varmint hunting? Thoughts?

i have the light you are talking about it came with a mount that puts the light ontop of the scope. i bought it last year on a hunt as my hunting partner's light crapped out. i was also using a pvs 14 and had a 30 on my rifle. the one night the 14,30 didnt work worth a shit due to no moon light and fog. the reaper worked just great mounted on a rifle as you coud still see their eyes and could make them out. after i read your post it reminded me and i plugged mine in, rechargeable battery as it is that time of the year. mine is the reaper xxl compaired to the light he had it blew his away it has a focusable beam and red and green light if i remember right. their is lots of lights out their depending what you want to pay but i would buy it again. hope this helps you sir.

Thanks man!

I've got a reaper and another light that I can't remember the name of. The reaper is definitely brighter. I would definitely recommend getting a light with an adjustable focus beam. You can really dial it down and get some range out of it.

I have one of the same lights you are inquiring about. I am fairly impressed with it. I have a different brand called hog laser I think. I like the coyote reaper much better. It is keeping me happy until I can get a thermal.

I can’t speak to the red, green or white light but I have the IT bulb and it is leaps and bounds over the stock IR that came with the ATN 4K. I could see out to 800 yards and out to 350 clearly. I want to buy the replacement green bulb so I can interchange to green over IR when yote hunting with friends without NV. Build quality is great and comes with the pressure switch which I’m sure you know. It is bulky but I use a tripod so weight isn’t an issue. Look up sniper hawg lights they are pricy but look to be impressive. https://www.sniperhawglights.com/

Update - Compared the predator tactics coyote reaper spotlight to the wicked light w403ic, and the predator tactics was more ergonomic, and faster to adjust beam size. Also, the coyote reaper was slightly brighter.

Now to compare to sniper hawg lights. I’ve heard great things, like they’re coyote light’s competition.

I have a Coyote Light on my suppressed .22WMR for backyard critters. Only thing I can offer, but I can easily spot coyotes within 300yd very easily. All my safe shots are within 100yd, though. Have taken 3 yotes and 2 skunks so far, all at night with the light.

that sounds like an insane amount of fun haha. Pics?

I took a picture of the first one before I got my CL, as the three yotes I’ve got so far this past year have all been young (dumb) ones. Still trying for their parents, whom I have seen multiple times. They don’t come to my mouth calls at all, here in SE MI. Saving up some bacon grease...

Skunk was one of the biggest I’ve seen. It’s stripe was pretty impressive, IMO. Should have made a hat, ha ha!
