Specifically the mount for the picatinny rail. Will it fit? I dropped one in there today and I'm not sure it was making full contact with the rings. The bottom of the erector housing appeared to be making contact with the base of the mount.

Or can it be made to fit if indeed it doesn't now?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I just shoot the things, I'm not mechanical.

Yes sir, the double turn optics of today have a larger center box/gear section which has created a few issues. The center section of the mounts with these normally have to be machined down about .030 - .060" depending on mount and optics setup. If you need assistance feel free to contact me direct and I will be able to assist. Happy New Year's to all.

I just went through this with my Hensoldt. The 28 moa mount will need modification, Zak Smith confirmed the 45moa mount would clear fine with the Hensoldt. I have both optics and the premier seems about as large in the turret housing from eyeballing it. Patrick at Tacpro has some pre modded and finished mounts for them in 28 moa. I just took a dremel and file to mine so I could go shoot and only had to take a very small amount off.

The S&B will fit with no modifications to your existing equipment and also no worries with locking up your parallax adjustment as one of the other scopes mentioned have had this problem when mounted in aluminum rings.
The internal components as well as the external dimensions of both the single and double turn S&B models are the same with the only difference being the double turn offers more external adjustment.

S&B and AI are like peas and carrots

Re: Premier 3-15 in AI mount, questions...

Thanks Jerry, as stated, I have mounted the S&B PMII 4-16x50mm/PA/Double Turn 1/4moa's the 34mm/18moa and 28moa mounts with no issues. The issues are when you take the Premier, S&B 5-25x and Zeiss setups and put them into these mounts. Yes the 45moa mount will clearly have no issues since it was designed for the S&B 5-25x model, but can be used on others as well as long as they offer enough internal elevation to get you to a 100yd zero, which most customers desire. Happy New Year to all.
