Hiders,

FYI. This is from Ted Milner from Armament Technology, from whom we order our Premier products from. We still kept our PO and look forward to bringing these to you.

Scott

<span style="font-style: italic">"Good day,

Please be advised that there will be delay with the release of the Premier Reticles 1.1-8x V8 tactical scope to the Summer of 2011. The delay is a result of the decision to further refine the functionality and reliability of the product.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Kind regards,

Ted Milner"</span>

Re: Premier V-8 Announcement - Delay in Production

So let me get this straight, this thing has been pushed back multiple times due to issues and now it gets pushed back another six months at least. Seeing as I have never heard of an optic with a 3 lens erector system, I have a feeling that IF this ever comes to market it will be a much different version. This seems to be the chupacabra of optics so if I were in the market for a 1-8, I'd be looking at the S&B over this lovechild of a submarine and a baseball bat. Hell, I'd even take the Leupold over it, just my $.02

Re: Premier V-8 Announcement - Delay in Production

I'll look on the bright side and interpret this as an opportunity for me to save $ a little longer. I was going to buy a NF 2.5-10x32mm this summer for my Recon, but if the Premier V-8 pans out I'm game.

Re: Premier V-8 Announcement - Delay in Production

While I understand the need for instant gratification and getting new products in hand ASAFP...delays like this go back to the old saying of:

<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">"Do you want it done right or do you want it done right now?"</span></span>

Personally...I'll take getting it done right every time and live with the delay. As with all PH products, I am sure that it will be worth a couple months of waiting to the end results.

$2600+ last I looked. Our cost as dealers is TBD since the launch (relaunch) date has been pushed back..

Re: Premier V-8 Announcement - Delay in Production

I clearly don't mind the delay to make sure it is right the first time. What I do have an issue with is all the talk of them shipping and in the hands of vendors in a week or two and then when the time comes, out pops the six month delay. Seriously, I have a lot of funds tied up waiting for it. I'm going to go with the S&B if this is the case.

Re: Premier V-8 Announcement - Delay in Production

While this optic is out of the price range I would spend on this type of scope, I applaud Premier for doing it right and getting their product out when it meets their high standards. They will lose some market share at first due to delay, but are building a quality product to last.

Yup, I totally agree with you on this.

Premier has made some of the best scopes on the market and I've no doubt this V8 scope will be another one. Since I've already read about folks ponying up the $$$ for the Leupold 1-8x, I have doubt that this one will also sell.
