I'm here because I want to unlearn everything I currently 'know' about longarms and shooting. Im 33, raised on a farm and spent most of my life in the bush. I have a son who will be old enough to shoulder a rifle soon, and don't want to teach him just what I've learned from my dad and life on the farm, as there is so much more, and so many better ways. I want him to learn better, and so do I.
I have a great ex-military friend in the industry nowadays with about as much skill and knowledge, and practical techniques as one could have in this part of the world. Ive got him to agree to take me back to the fundamentals and start over. I've sold all of my rifles, and given the heirloom ones to my brother. I bought a new Sako Quad in .22LR
From what Ive read lurking on snipershide, this site looks like the perfect reading companion on my new journey.
