As much as I'd love to blame this all on Covid (and China) this is a pretty much purely domestic phenomenon that happens every time we elect a president. The shortsightedness here is not in missing the cycle, but in failing to maintain minimum necessary levels of components. I never keep a lot, but I always keep enough to reload my brass once.
The panic is real, but it would have happened with or without the Covid. The Left has adopted the tactic of violence with all their bands of roving acronyms burning, looting, and yes, murdering people on the streets. That's strictly political; differing mainly with the addition of the violence. What was once undefined unease now has become a clear target.
For once, Americans have a clear and present danger looking them straight in the eyes. For once, the moderates, now to include the Democratic moderates, see a real value to gun ownership. Or they would if the MSM would get off their lofty self righteous pedestals and report the actual facts. But their Masters want all this to be about guns and violence, and any taint of Democratic involvement is touted from the rooftops as the purest of White Supremacist political fiction.
The people aren't stupid, and the MSM leaks like a soup strainer. They're losing their crowd, and their fear level and frustration are finding new peaks.
We need to keep our heads, give them enough rope, and let them hang themselves.
Nobody can juggle turds forever.
Yes, the scores need to get settled, and the scales need to get rebalanced. but the time and place for all that is after the election. Trying to do it before the election is a really good way to lose the whole ball game.
That's what they're trying to provoke, and they're so close they can taste it. They can't quite bring it to pass, so next to come will be the false flag events. I expect them in the final weeks before the elections.
When that happens, I think a lot of things will change very fast.
I also think Trump's no dope about that stuff, either.
In the end, the MSM and Baghdad Bob are going to enjoy a lot in common.
