Rifle Scopes Primary Arms ACSS-HUD-DMR leads question

The Primary Arms SLx 4-14x44mm FFP Rifle Scope - Illuminated CSS-HUD-DMR-308/223 has leads starting at 300 yds. Have read where the 300 yard leads are good to go at 100 and 200 yards also. However I have read where they aren't and that some of the vertical ranging marks are but they never said which ones. Contacted Primary Arms and they said there are no 300 yd leads on that scope [ despite being etched into the glass ] Anyone know ?

I would say no in regards to 100 yards, maybe at 200 yards.

Dimitri's respose Yes they are good for 100-200 for more precise shots at 200 edge of the horse shoe for 3 MPH, 900 yard ranging mark (3 mils) for 4-6 MPH and 700 mark for sprinting (5mils)

How does the scope perform? Does it hold zero well? Does it track well? How does the ACSS HUD DMR reticle line up for shots at distances?

I bought one and just borsighted it last night. I'll hopefully test it out soon.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer some questions.
I have a Ruger Precision .308 w/ a 20"bbl. I mounted your scope in the Aero Precision Ultralight Std 30mm mount. After installation I re-checked everything due to only having 2.8Mils of windage travel after boresighting. I was able to correct it to 4.6Mils of windage travel clockwise after proper installation. Admittedly I am new, am I G2G here in your opinion?

In regards to the factory loads, I have 168gr FED GMM SMK, which is laid out clearly in the instructions. I am at 124' altitude so I need to add .25 if I read the manual correctly. I have the following Australian Outback (ADI) factory loads:
168gr Sierra Game Kings, 150gr Swift Scirocco II BTS, 145gr F4 M80 ball. I also have some Hornady Black 155gr AMAX.
I realize a lot of my inventory is on the lighter side but I hope I can find something acceptable with what I have. Thanks again for your time.

How far out are you going. You might need a 20MOA mount to have enough elevation to get out to 1,000. Download the Isterlok phone app. All our reticle are in it and you will be able to see how each round varies at distance. Once you land on a favorite round you can adjust the zero point to get the best match to the reticle. The challenge right now is ammo availability.

The RPR has a 20MOA removable mounting base atop the receiver. Thank you for all the information. I will also look into that app.

What would be your Primary Arms scope choice for this rifle? I was contemplating getting an Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 and place the SLX 4-14X44MM ACSS on my M1A but there's no rush. I orginally came to Primary Arms for the ACSS reticle and the price to quality value you offer. I believe the ACSS from my research is the best for me, a beginner to get minute of man hits, if shit ever hit. In regards to LR, I feel I may need a different reticle for precision. Whats your take. Thanks again.

Arken has done a nice job at that price point. Good featured and reviews. If you can stretch your budget you can get into our mid tier GLx series. With the HUD you can still dial the turrets vs using reticle but we do offer the BPR MIL precision grid reticle. The GLX series offer a significant upgrade in turret design.

Thanks for all the information. I bought the Strelok+ for android, wow. I programmed 3 different loads and the SGK appears to be the truest to the reticle, but having the estimated hold values for all loads is awesome. I will shoot your SLx 4-14x44mm Illum ACSS HUD DMR-308 till I outgrow it. After all the reviews and reading up on it, I am 100% confident it will serve its purpose of teaching me basics. Once I outgrow it, I will let you know. The GLx is a very nice scope and your reticle recommendation is spot on for my anticipated graduation.

Good job fielding grounders Marshall. Not to many Chiefs in the business take the time to talk with the FNG. I appreciate it.

Is Primary Arms refining or discontinuing the SLx 4-14x44mm line? I noticed some amazing prices for Black Friday labeled "Closeout"!

So I finally shot my RPR with the Primary Arms SLx 4-14x44mm Illum ACSS HUD DMR-308.

I am new to this at 40 but a quick learner, and it was my first time shooting a bolt gun with an adjustable mag optic. This is definitely not our Uncles M4 w/ACOG that I was issued and grew fond of. So I had to make a few mental rally points to help manage all the information on the reticle and with the scope adjustments, to avoid getting lost. Needless to say, I didn't go out to shoot sub MOA groups. I went out to learn, group and zero my new bolt rifle with my new scope and familiarize myself with the ACSS HUD DMR reticle.
There were spotty showers in Centralia Washington a week ago, but I had to try everything out and I finally the had time.

My initial impression is that the P.A. SLx 4-14x44mm Illuminated ACSS HUD DMR-308 scope is more than enough to accomplish getting me through the crawl and walk phase of learning precision shooting. For the money it is definitely a great value. Even with poor daylight conditions, I was afforded a generous FOV with a clear sight picture. Parallax settings held true for rangefinder distances and turrets provided enough correction to get a good zero. After dialing in, I adjusted my steel 6"x12" floor rocker to roughly 150yds and shot away. I only shot 60rds, but I was a kid in a candy store finding a new way to fall in love with a different facet of marksmanship. I can tell this hobby is going to get expensive!

The only want left unfulfilled was the need for more magnification at distance to see hits and make corrections. In the near future, the Primary Arms GLx 6-24x50 ATHENA BPR MIL will most likely be moving atop my RPR and the SLx 4-14x44mm ACSS, will be going atop my M1A SOCOM16.
