Looking to get a LPVO for a new 6.5CM AR10 conversion. This optic claims to have a ACSS-RAPTOR-5.56/5.45/.308 reticle.

How would this translate to a 6.5? I'm not even sure how a reticle can be designed for .308 and 5.56 together but honestly I have 0 experience with optics with predefined calibers.

I thought about vortex strikefire 1-8 but I like FFP and MRAD.

Opinions?

Poorly, your bullet will drop much less than the subtensions are designed for. In other words, the 300,400,500,ect drops will not be those yardages for your round. That said, if you don't mind having the drops charted or a great memory, the reticle can still be useful. I really like the ACSS reticle for a variety or cartridges and usually cheat the close range to make the drops at distance close enough to be useful.
I believe they offer a 6.5 acss but for larger magnification optics.

Well that is not what I wanted to hear. Thought I had winner. Having a hard time finding a decent LPVO with both MRAD/FFP. Guess I'll keep looking.

Both the SLx and Strike Eagle are pretty bad LVPOs (I've owned them both years ago).

I'm not sure of you're budget and you'd have to Strelok it up but you can get a quality made by LOW japan 1-6.5 for $600 shipped. This is by far leaps and bounds better than both the SLx and SE.

Crimson Trace 5 Series 1-8x28 with both MRAD and FFP. Made in Japan and currently on sale for $650: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/102061946?pid=587565

I have the Primary Arms 3x18 with the 6.5CM/224V ACSS reticle, and I wish I didn't buy it. It's a decent scope for the money, but It makes it hard to put the scope on a different caliber rifle if the drops don't line up. I'd rather just get a MRAD reticle and memorize the drops for your specific load.

The PLX with griffin ret? Midway has them available right now.
If so PA has them in stock it shows and 90 day free test drive with them as mentioned above. How can you argue with that.
