Prime 308 and 338 Ammo

I was able to find out that Prime uses Norma Golden Target Bullets for their 6.5 creed ammo from other threads on SH.

I reload, but have a 338LMAI on order and want to start with premium factory ammo instead of fire forming with cornstarch..unless you can talk me out of this.

Anyway, I wanted to find out what bullets prime uses in their 338's? I know they are 300 grain, but not much else...

Also, I have a friend who shoots the 308's from prime and loves them, but wanted to find out what bullet this is too...

Call Prime and ask. They are great to deal with. I called and left a message about finding the bullet length of the 6.5 130gr. In a few minutes, I got a call from one of them. The message was forwarded to his cell while he was at lunch, and he called me from the restaurant where he was eating to pass along the info - he told me what he thought the length was from memory, but then said straight up that it was the Norma bullet you referenced (or did he say it was the Diamond? Hmmmm...). Anyway, he recommended I double check his answer with Norma since he wasn't in the office to verify. So, I looked up the bullet on the Norma site and verified that his answer was indeed correct. Bottom line - you should be able to get the answer straight from them.

Thank you, called today and placed a nice order. I asked about bullets and they said they are all Norma: 6.5, 308, and 338.

That's what I figured, but I had never heard it confirmed on anything but the 6.5.

I got one of PRIME's first batch of 338 Lapua on sale 200 rd case @ $500 shipped. I spoke to them on the phone and they told me it was this repackaged in PRIME boxes:

I have only fired 10 rds, but it is extremely accurate ammo.

Yes, RUAG is the parent company of Norma.

So PRIME ammo is just repackaged RUAG ammo?

It has PRIME on headstamp. But same ammo. Mine shoots fantastic

The 6.5 uses the Golden Target bullets which are the uncoated version of the Diamond line. It is made by RUAG but to PRIMES specs.
