PRIME 6.5 SAUM 142 SMK

You'd assume they'd keep with the same supplier for brass. This ammo coming out has solidified my decision to go 4s over PRC for my next build for sure...can't beat the ease of running some Prime when you're short on time and can't load!

From what I read it won't work in a lot of rifles since quite a lot of the reamers require the necks to be turned down.

Not sure where you heard that?? The standard reamer is .296 and only requires neck turning if you're necking down 7mm or 30 cal brass. Factory brass will be just fine.

From some posts I read on Facebook. I thought neck turn reamer is 296 and no turn is 298?

That was because factory brass did not exist when it was first introduced, so you had to neck down Remington or Norma 7 saum brass or 300 saum. Now we have factory brass from Hornady and soon to be factory ammo,... Neck turning is not necessary with the factory 6.5 brass.

Pretty excited to see factory ammo introduced, big THANKS to Prime!

Wow. Fuck Norma if half of that is true.

One has to wonder if Prime has any responsibility to RUAG breaking contract. I don't expect RUAG to answer with a video of their own alleging problems with Prime, but whats the quality going to be if they win? Prime has a lot of $ tied up into this. I wonder if they'll ever reopen their doors, and if they do, what quality ammo they'll have.

Hornady brass is only available brass right now that I can find.
Norma doesn’t currently offer 6.5 SAUM brass.
AGD shows 6.5 SAUM but brass is $1.60+ per piece and not currently in stock.

$2.15 ish per round would be in Hornady brass.
AGD brass would be an option but price will be higher.
