Yeah, sort of thought so. And with all due respect to the OP, SD numbers based on a set of only five data points is meaningless at best…misleading really.5. Magneto numbers the shots beside them.

I agree...I have about 150 chrono data points on Prime made by Peterson with the 142 SMK and SD is 15.Prime averaged 12 to 15fps, the Norma is the same
Hornady today is 30fps
Frank - there is no doubt that you are light years more knowledgeable and experienced than I.Any new Hornady has been terrible SD wise,
Old stuff was pretty good, around 15-18fps but now it's double that, we stopped buying it and switched to Norma or Federal
But did you use a Bartlein barrel (I’ll see myself out)Frank - there is no doubt that you are light years more knowledgeable and experienced than I.
But I do know how to collect data and my experience w 140 ELD-M does not match yours or @GBMaryland. And all of the ammo shot for those 90 chrono data points was all COVID or post COVID production. Not older stuff.
Just goes to prove Mom always loved me more than you. Lol
More seriously, I have no explanation for it. Just one of those mysteries of life.
Cheers
Without looking back (cause I’m lazy), I think my 90 or so data point set of 140 ELD-M was SD of 16. You’re showing 17. Long way from 30, right?
Yes, and a Proof SS (Proof….oh, the horrors, the horrors. Lol)But did you use a Bartlein barrel (I’ll see myself out)

Lot’s more or less, the same as 10 rounds isn’t enough to establish whether they will eventually be similar.
Quit your cackling @Baron23

I typically don’t shoot factory ammo but I was at Dead Zero Shooting Park in Tennessee last month and ran out of ammo.Lot# 4

4 lots of 147ELDM which are surprisingly similar…
I’ve absolutely had lots that were 29 SD in the past
Is that at MSSA?I typically don’t shoot factory ammo but I was at Dead Zero Shooting Park in Tennessee last month and ran out of ammo.
I bought a box of Hornady Match #81501 147gr ELD-M (lot#3231736) and a box of Sierra MatchKing Competition Ammunition #A1740–05 140gr SMK (Lot#L220036)
The Hornady had single digit SD’s at 1,000y and was sub 0.7moa.
The Sierra also had single digit SD's but was between 1-1.5 moa.

Sure you haveI’ve absolutely had lots that were 29 SD in the past
Frank - nobody doubts your results…well, nobody with any brains.Tap has not been the same as white box Hornady
And honestly a box ?
Trust me, we tested, Chris tested, MHSA helped
An old box here or there is nothing we are shooting g cases at a time and replacing them
Dead Zero Shooting Park.Is that at MSSA?
