Yeah, sort of thought so. And with all due respect to the OP, SD numbers based on a set of only five data points is meaningless at best…misleading really.

I agree...I have about 150 chrono data points on Prime made by Peterson with the 142 SMK and SD is 15.
I don't see the kind of number you quote for Hornady. I have approx 90 data points on 6.5 CM, 140 ELD-M and the SD of the total data set is 16 and these were shot through the year in diff temps which would make SD's worse, I believe.
I think I was getting an SD of 9 with the Prime Ammunition made using 142SMK / alpha munitions 65CM LRP brass.

Any new Hornady has been terrible SD wise,
Old stuff was pretty good, around 15-18fps but now it's double that, we stopped buying it and switched to Norma or Federal

Yep absolutely true. It was only the TAP that seem to maintain a decent SD recently.
One thing I will say for Prime is that the norma brass they used has incredible consistency between cases.
I have a bunch of brand new surplused prime brass, and that stuff shoots so well it’s not even funny…
I’ve even loaded it up with warner tool company bullets, and I get like a 5 SD.

Frank - there is no doubt that you are light years more knowledgeable and experienced than I.
But I do know how to collect data and my experience w 140 ELD-M does not match yours or @GBMaryland. And all of the ammo shot for those 90 chrono data points was all COVID or post COVID production. Not older stuff.
Just goes to prove Mom always loved me more than you. Lol

The Berger factory 6.5CM is / was the only factory ammo I could get single digit SD, and an ES 20-25 across multiple 6.5CM barrels.
But did you use a Bartlein barrel (I’ll see myself out)
Without looking back (cause I’m lazy), I think my 90 or so data point set of 140 ELD-M was SD of 16. You’re showing 17. Long way from 30, right?
By the by, I also have large chrono data sets for Berger 140 HT and I think (again, too lazy to run upstairs at the moment) SD is running 12
I typically don’t shoot factory ammo but I was at Dead Zero Shooting Park in Tennessee last month and ran out of ammo.
I bought a box of Hornady Match #81501 147gr ELD-M (lot#3231736) and a box of Sierra MatchKing Competition Ammunition #A1740–05 140gr SMK (Lot#L220036)
The Hornady had single digit SD’s at 1,000y and was sub 0.7moa.
The Sierra also had single digit SD's but was between 1-1.5 moa.

Frank - nobody doubts your results…well, nobody with any brains.
I do think the only point being made…at least by me if not others too…is that I have different results and have no explanation for that.
