I inherited these primers in the packaged condition. Is anyone able to definitely ID them based on measurements and primer compound color.

The are either SPP or SRP. I think they may be Winchester SPP. I haven’t been able to get ahold of Win Tech support.

Also think they could be CC1 41s.

Appreciate any input part from “toss them”

Thanks. It is red. I am fairly certain they are Winchester. I read that SPP are red and SRP are green. But I haven’t been able to confirm that definitively.

SRP and SPP are identical in dimension, unlike LPP and LRP. If you don't want to chuck them, just use them in pistol rounds. It won't hurt anything. The opposite could.

So you’re saying it’s safe to used Rifle primers In pistol rounds? But not safe to use pistol primers in rifle rounds?

I was really hoping to use these in my 6.5 Grendel!

Yes that is correct.

Try and measure the cup thickness. That should be telling in between pistol and rifle primers with the rifle primer having a thicker cup than pistol

So, I would not use unidentified primers in anything, but yes, you are safe using rifle primers in pistol rounds.

First they are not consistent with NEW MFG Winchester 41 primers as the ones I have
do not have the RED "sealant" sprayed on the anvil.

Green and RED color mean nothing as I have seen BOTH colors in Winchester large rifle primers.

Edit:
Do you really think Winchester is going to identify the primers by a picture and be held liable for your bag of primers.

My 41's have a "gold/bronze" cup like Rem. and my WW SRP look gray on the compound.
As others have said it's ok to load your ???? primers in pistol cases BUT not in rifle rounds.
I use WW SRP in loading my 9 mm. A few of my local internet "x-spurts" claim "gloom and doom", but I have targets0 that prove other wise, and I'm still shooting.

Well, I won’t know unless I ask.
