Who gives a flying fuck about the British royalty? Seriously I seem to remember we fought to get away from those pricks quite a few years ago.

And because we don't have to worship at their alter by decree... we can show some class and mourn the passing of an historical figure because we wish to.
Lots hate royals. I get it. I don't condemn the sentiment.
But I am fine with showing respect to some foreign dignitaries who are truly historical figures.
Now when it comes to 'hate...' I'll reserve that for the self-appointed royalty that we have managed to evolve in this country. From Kennedy's to Bushes to Clintons to every other Ivy-League Skull-and-Bones-elitist shit-weasel who is trying to destroy our republic. Long ago the UK chose a Constitutional Monarchy and that is their decision and choice.
We chose a Republic. And now have wokies pounding the dick of communism down our throats. I'll reserve my disdain and outright disgust for them. The same level of animus that the patriots felt for the king in 1775... Because they are betraying their nation, their republic (and in the cases of most of them) their commitment to preserve, protect and defend The Constitution. Not their party, their bank account or their semi-autistic little hooker-screwing coke-head Bought-by China spawn. And I used to think the Kennedys were bad.

Pretty much this. I couldn’t care for the royal family but non uk people saying fuck the royals are basically the same as those annoying militant atheists. Phillip can be judged as an individual and by his actions.
