Problem posting pictures from new iPhone.

Since I upgraded my phone I am having trouble posting photos. "file too large"
Is this a phone setting or site issue? How can I fix it?

Try this...
Go Settings, find the Camera app and select.
Find Formats and select
Select High efficiiency
Turn on Pro default and then under that green button, select HEIF Max

Back out of everything, take a pic and try to post it.

What I have to do is go into photos. Copy photo and then paste it.

I didn’t have to do this before and I didn’t change phones.

It looks like this is the only way, Weird, that something has changed.

@RTH1800 you have to first open the photos app, then select the pic and hold down on it. Options will pop up and you select copy. Then go the Hide page and hold on this space where you would be typing in and an option to paste will pop up.

Yea I tried all sorts of ways and could only do it this way.

Kinda sucks now lol.

It's often due to all the extra metadata that stuff into their photos. Exiftool can strip them down pretty well.

Oof. I certainly would not recommend using HEIF. It's an Apple proprietary format and will cause you all sorts of grief if you want to use or share images outside of the Apple ecosystem.
