I purchased a kestrel sportsman/Bushnell Conx 1 mile range finder and was checking the ballistic calculator along side my Garmin 701. My 701 is 100% dialed in so I was really happy that my new sportsman matched it perfectly. Then I updated the firmware and now I can’t adjust bullet length. Did kestrel remove bullet legnth to make people upgrade to elite? Is there anyway to delete a firmware upgrade?

I noticed this too.
Especially with CDM profiles the bullet length is fixed.

With G1/G7 profiles I could change it, at least from the Kestrel itself.

It makes sense, because cdm is a fixed profile. But it would be nice to try if changing the bullet length helps

You can still adjust bullet length for G1 and G7 after the update but the option moved slightly. You cannot for custom drag curves however.

To change bullet length on Kestrel, go to Gun->BD and press center button. Highlight BL. If it doesn't allow you to change it, press the center button and toggle Auto Calc to OFF and go back.
