I was out at the range today, first time in a while.
I had some 55gr 5.56mm bullets I was shooting - these were reloads with 24.5gr of Varget and W231, they shot fine - had to zero the new ACOG I got.
But when I moved to the new XM855 I got these were way hotter...I started experiencing failure to extract or feed errors.
Now I have 5 MAGPUL brown follower magazines and they seem to be the culprit, while the 2 green USGI's were pretty much just fine - think I only had one jam on those.
The rifle itself maybe has 3 or 4 hundred rounds through it, even tho ScotMilk9 built this for me back in 03 or 04 it hasn't been shot as much as I'd like..
So do I dump the brown magpuls and go strictly USGI or keep breaking the rifle in?
This is the best AR I've ever had, zero rattle, but pretty tight tolerances...
It's an AMEETEC Arms from before the sh*t hit the fan there...
Thanks,
