where can I find out what rifles / optics were used by the top 20? I see it was at k and m. Was safety third involved.

I know scope wise 1st) Kahles, 2nd) Nighforce ATACR 3rd) Tangent Theta, 4th) I think Leupold 5th) Leupold 6th) Tangent Theta, 7th) Tangent Theta, 8th) U.S Optics 9th and 10th no idea.
I though leupold and Kahles had mechanical issues ?
Guess schimdt is too expensive for budgets now after the price increase
After shooting a lot of matches this year I found you see very few Schmidt’s. You see a lot of ZCO’s now which is what myself and my main two shooting partners all shoot. Leupold is definitely nice for the money but I’m not a fan. I personally have a ZCO 5-27, ATACR 7-35 and a Razor Gen 2 4.5-27 and would gladly shoot a match with either three.
Schmidt hasn’t been in the top for a number of years. Not a lot of guys using them in PRS. A number of reasons that I know of.

It’s my favorites thing to do but can’t do it often. I’m a mid pack finisher. 20s-30s out of. 50-80 shooter one days. Last 2 day i shot I was 66 out of I think 200

I’m going to say after shooting in matches and in some squads and with some of the top shooters this year that if you give them about any scope within reason they would still finish towards the top.

the top spots are all sponsored, so who cares what they use, they are paid to use it and most would sell their souls for free anything
Like Team Gap is sponsored by Bushnell, they have a GAP reticle for them, I just got one of the "Team scopes" from them and it was broken out of the box, so why would you go with a sponsored shooter uses when they are being compensated to use it.
S&B are not sold as much here in the US Anymore, all the dealers gave up their dealerships because EURO Optics goes direct and the rest can't match the prices, so only Euro and a few legacy places sell them.
Because they stopped being used widely about 8+ years ago, they stopped innovating with a lot of stuff Comp shooters want. I still run a bunch of S&Bs but not nearly as much as I used too, all Zeiss and ZCo now really with the others mixed in.

I mostly use my Ultra Shorts now, most of my 5-25x are not used

This is the case for many of the top shooters but not all of them, Buschman who won it all is not sponsored by anyone and still loads all of his ammo on a lee press… Your point of not following what the top guys “recommend” is a valid one though in most cases as many of them have ulterior motives. However the fact they run the gear successfully is a testament of that gear being capable of performing at very high levels. Often times guys concerned about the performance level of a top tier optic are the ones that cant perform to the level requiring a mid tier one…

I thought we were talking about how anything but a Schmidt is a “compromise”….now we are are “mainly” talking about market penetration of AI chassis products?
This is a strong first effort bud. It might take a while to regain any credibility after this but I think with your extensive experience in 20-30th place, you have the persistence to claw your way back to relevance in at least one thread on the forum.

Same here, I am not a top 20 shooter though. I have a smith who sponsors me and I run what I want. I give my honest opinion on gear to new shooters and save them headaches as much as possible. Contrary to hide belief most PRS guys are helpful and honest. There is a lot less money getting thrown around than many are lead to believe. It is concentrated at the very top and among industry insiders. Half the jersey logos are for aesthetics or very small discounts.
