PRS Talk PRS matches in WA, OR, ID

Come shoot the monthly match at Upper Nisqually Sportman's Club. First saturday of every month, $20 entry fee, 2 hour drive from Portland/Vancouver. I'm usually there most months. It's a good mix of experienced shooters and newer shooters on a pretty forgiving course of fire (steel 200-600 yards square range). It's a good gateway drug. :)

Next step up is shooting the NWPRL league, lots of matches this year all over OR/WA. Some very stiff competition there, some of the best shooters in the country.

^^^^^^ What he said. Join the Northwest Precision Rifle League (which I think might be tracked through the normal PRS website this year) and have a blast. We do indeed have some top level national guys in our region. We also have brand new shooters, so you'll fit in no matter what your experience level is. Clownbuster what part of the PNW are you in?

That sounds perfect! I'm in Washougal, WA just east Vancouver about 20 minutes. I have a few new custom rigs that are just about dialed in on consistency and function. Do either of you have a Web address for both the above mentioned we can link on here?
Thanks,
Sanford Grasseth

Most all this stuff gets posted on Facebook, there are a couple closed groups where all the match and competition info is shared. The main Facebook group is Northwest Precision Rifle Shooters. You can find the UNSC web page at www.uppernisquallysportsmanclub.com and it has their address listed, but the venue itself doesn't have much to do with the matches. If you want to get on the UNSC match mailing list with info and course of fire announcements (usually the day before) you can send an email to [email protected] and Brian or Josh will help you out.Or you can just drive and show up at 9am on the first Saturday of every month. There's a short safety briefing for first time shooters then rounds downrange at 10.

If you want to get serious about the league matches, the Northwest Precision Rifle League website is www.nwprl.com. The events page has all the league matches. You'll need to register and create a shooter profile as part of the PRS club series on the PRS website if you want your points to count. Most matches are a bit of a drive, I put a lot of miles driving to matches in last year's shooting season. I'm in the Vancouver area as well.

Drop me a PM if you need more details, I'm glad to help.

I have not looked but I get the feeling there is rarely or never stuff closer to Eugene? I have a weird work schedule so traveling that far north on weekends is often difficult or impossible for me.
