Pulling the trigger on a colt 6920 m4 magpul?

Yes. That is lower than some of the dealer costs I have seen. Out of all the AR rifles and components from the manufacturers I have worked with, Colt is the most consistent in high quality.
As good as Colt is and has been I don't think it's the best deal on the market. I just recent purchased a TROY Defense M4 Carbine with Free Floated Alpha Rail and TROY BUIS for $899. I think if you shop around a bit and open up your options you'll find some great deals on Better Setup factory guns.
Sounds like a good deal. Just look it over carefully. Quite a few of the newer Colt's I have seen have a number of scratches and dings in the finish right out of the box. Otherwise they are gtg.
it had a scratch or two. had been sitting in the walmart case for about a year or two since they ordered during the height of the post Newtown panic. Just said screw it, went with my gut and bought it. came to be $908 with tax. Hopefully wont regret it.
I would do it, *if* that is the rifle configuration you want. If you think you might have any plans in the future about adding a free float rail or other accessories, then I probably would not get it, but would then get a BCM mid-length gas system rifle in the configuration you want instead. If you know what you want, you should be able to find it from Colt, BCM or Daniel Defense.

I think that's a great price for a quality Colt 6920, I seriously doubt you'll have any regrets.
With the money you saved you could always throw an Aimpoint PRO on there for a few hundred more.
Now all you need is a Geissele SSA or SA-E trigger to replace the crappy stock trigger and your really gtg.
This has always been the case with colt. Colt only knows how to make their rifles one way and your buying a gun that is built to the same standard as the guns that the govt orders. Great guns and i own one myself. Hard to beet as a shooter or work gun for the money. I would rather a colt then some more expensive guns.
Take a look at the one I have. It is a BUSHNELL 4.5-18X40 BDC RETICLE TARGET AR-SCOPE with Warne QT Ultra High Aluminum rings. They measure 1.5" from the top of the Picatinny rail to the center of the scope rings. It gives you a little higher cheek weld than most other rings ( a good thing for me ) and they are very strong and light weight. The reticule is calibrated for 55 grain bullets out to 600 yds.
Read the reviews on Midway USA ( below ) First guy doesn't have it mounted correctly.

I also put a Geissele SSA-E trigger in the Colt lower to replace the horrible factory trigger. Then I got a WOA 18" varmint full upper and had them flute the barrel to save weight.

Never implied the Colt wasn't a good choice just that so many seem to have imperfections in the finish. i also have a 6920 Talo-R and bought it despite a few scratches. Only needed to put a Geissele SSA-E trigger in it to make it a better than average AR in terms of accuracy.
