PVA Black Friday Barrel Lead Time

Ya I think the thing that bothers me most is to be told 8-10weeks on a barrel and I call at 10 weeks and I’m told it will be two more months. That pushes the barrel arrival out to a time of year I’m busy and won’t really use it till the end of the summer.
I’m really hesitant to send my barreled action back to pva to adjust headspace. They said it would take 2-3 weeks...I dunno if I want to risk that.
There are much better smiths out there. Altus has been amazing to work with. They do precuts.
I get long lead times, but there is no excuse for not responding to client email. Everything I’ve done with PVA required numerous calls and reminders. They have innovative ideas, but they are so rushed they aren’t working to make their best product. It shows. Also, pimping new product development when dudes are waiting over a year for a rifle is totally unsatisfactory. I’ve washed my ands of them, and they of me.

This is bullshit. Same thing happened to me. They should make their warranty claims a priority.

It's in process right now, I have the 6 Creed chamber you ordered running in the machine right now.
We will be looking at shipping around middle of next week.
I will bring the email up to Jeremy. I know he's slammed with emails right now but typically he's getting back within 72hrs.

If you guys ordered from PVA as a member on here, you should have seen this coming. They were running 6 months on a barrel before the sale. To think this time would be any different then recent history is insanity... that email though. Ouch!
Well that's not true at all. I bought 3 barrels, 3 different cartridges, 3 different times and the longest wait was about 7 weeks
Just got an email for my barrel ordered September that it’s “going into polishing this week” and expected delivery is 1-2 weeks.

Yeah I would assume it got locked because some forum vendors were starting to get dragged through the dirt.
If I were a PVA customer waiting on something I would probably be upset, as it seemed to be the only avenue for them to get updates on their long lost orders.
It was getting pretty ugly.
There was some useful info there that got drowned out with crap.
Hopefully this thread can stay civil. I actually have a pending PVA order so I'm in for updates when available. Maybe those who don't have a pending order will stay away...
Nope. Last update was the "going to polishing" email. Will update when anything new happens.

Damn so we’re a ways off from November orders lol don’t guess it matters at the moment i have to send my EH1 back to manners to be inlet for the impact since they forgot. Also need an action wrench but that’s neither here nor there.
Barrel arrived and looks very good. Hopefully you all get yours soon as they clear up the backlog!
I cant help but laugh at all the PVA threads. I hate to say it but almost exactly a year ago I dealt with all the lies and issues. So i once considered Josh a friend he was always nice to talk to and fast to respond. My first rifle from him was when the bighorn tl3 came out. He did a fairly decent job on staying on track with lead times with this rifle. Only issue was forgot my arc rings so when I got my rifle couldn’t shoot it for a week because he had to ship them separate. Great shooting rifle so a buddy decided have the same rifle built. This was when it started to change. He would give lead times you let the time come and it would be excuses why it’s taking so long. He wouldn’t respond to my buddies messages or if he did take several days. Keep in mind my cousin bought all the components for another rifle that I talked him into sending to Josh because he said if everything is there it would be a quick turnaround. So the second rifle is complete and shoots good no biggy. Finally the third rifle was completed and I don’t remember exact times but was several months after the quoted lead times. But the thing that ended my relationship with PVA was a barrel sale he was running. And remember I felt like we were pretty decent friends heck he would message me pretty often even send pictures of hid kid running the cnc machines. So at the time i was shooting alot and wanted to get a barrel on order to be ready when mine was toast. I paid for the barrel got my lead time and didn’t worry about it. Well like most when the time hits you want to check on your barrels. I had also sent him a proof barrel in 223 that i won at the gap grind to make a trainer. Well I was getting the run around always an excuse and he even says hisself that he is slow because he waiting on parts. Well the last 3 items built he had sitting in front of him so that’s out the window. Like most I start to notice he won’t respond and all these new products start showing up like the JHR. It was getting close to shot show when he was going to reveil the new rifle so like most I gave in and was like well he has alot going. Now granted 2 weeks prior he would send pics showing man it’s almost ready both chambers are cut just need muzzle threaded. Ok no problem that is easy enough. Well a couple weeks after shot show still nothing so I hit him up again. I guess he has forgotten and tells me he needs to cut the chambers even though i had messages saying they just need muzzles cut. Im to the point now just get it done and let me have them. Well time goes on and I finally get a call from josh at work man I got your barrels done but I screwed up and engraved your 6.5 barrel with the John Hancock logo. Whatever man as long as it shoots im fine just send it. So after months of waiting I get both barrels all good right? Nope I go to screw my omega on the 223 and he cut 1/2-28 threads instead of 5/8-24. I was pissed and I remember like yesterday it being a Sunday morning and getting ahold of Josh. I told him I don’t know what’s up with him but he needs to get his shit together because he is going downhill fast. And after reading all these threads I couldn’t help but share my experience with y’all because it’s to many good smiths out there to pay in full and wait several weeks or months after the quoted time for your equipment. There is nothing wrong with long lead times I always told him man tell me 2 weeks longer then you think it will take I don’t mind waiting but you giving short times and not delivering is a terrible business plan.
i just took one of the packaging. I had the woman bring it all the way down to where I’m staying for work and got distracted with dinner etc.
I’ll take a few tonight. Is there something particular you’re looking to see or?

I know you’re frustrated and just trying to let others know what to expect, but we are currently in “PVA is under protected rules” status on these threads. A lot of people want to keep this going so they have some kind of idea what to expect for lead times, and posting screeds about them is going to get the thread locked and possibly people banned.
Doesn’t matter to me man, I’m just a piss ant. I was just trying to get ahead of another thread closure.

Chad is a stud, and the way they run their business should be a measuring stick for all others. The automated updates at each step is awesome and I'm sure it cuts down immensely on the " where's my stuff" comms
So, got my Black Friday barrel in today... And wrong. Not cut for BARLOC as ordered, just shouldered. I don't have a wrench for the Nucleus, so this has to go back, no way to use it or install it. FML...
I reached out and will work with them. I think it should be easy to fix, threads may be fine, they just need to move the shoulder to leave room for the BARCLOC. Just frustrating after so long, and thinking I was the idiot as I tried to install it.
I posted in the other thread I called PVA while walking into a theme park with the family not expecting to get through but honestly they picked up on the third ring. Usually when I have called Jeremy always answers, this was a new guy cant remember the name but very nice so they must have hired some additional help. Anywho.... they answered on third ring, I asked about a TL3 shouldered cut rifled barrel at least 26" in 6 BR, the guy said your in luck we had someone cancel an order... he had Jeremy get the mic out and look it over and an hour later I got a notice from FedEx that its heading to TN.
Now it will be sitting on my front porch on Monday and it damn well may be a 223 barloc cut with incorrect muzzle threads and stamped john hancock for all I know. But at this point the service is looking pretty damn good.
I sincerely hope everyone gets their barrels really quickly... but secretly I sincerely hope one of you fuckers purchased a TL3 6BRA or 6 dasher cut rifled barrel and cancels because I need one of those also...

Got an email this morning saying that "[Y]our order is going into production this week. Expect your product to ship within the next 2-3 weeks".

So back in December I ordered a barreled action with extra barrel and a nitride muzzle break with them saying it was 8-12 weeks wait . I emailed them in the end of February asking what the eta on it was and they never emailed me back for three weeks. When they emailed me me back they said I was on schedule for end of May. That’s 24 weeks. I called them saying that was unacceptable and I wanted to cancel my order since that wasn’t what we agreed on originally. They told me I had to pay 480 dollars to cancel my order so we agreed upon it and they would ship me two muzzle breaks for my 480 dollars and give me a refund for the rest.Its now been two weeks and I still haven’t seen refund check. And the two breaks weren’t even the one I ordered.
I had the same action and two better barrels to Alaska in less than a week ready to be chambered from another gunsmith.
It’s the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. You couldn’t pay me to shoot something with there name on it.

I ordered last week of november 2018, tikka barrel. I just got shipping notification today. Hopefully I get what I wanted.
Ordered mine November 24th no word yet. Still says waiting fulfillment. Last update November 24th. 17 weeks and counting though i honestly don’t remember what was quoted i was expecting it to take a while.
Order a barrel from someone else (TS Customs, LRI) and whenever the PVA barrel shows up, use it as a backup. Heck, the other barrel you buy may be shot out by the time the PVA one shows up.
I would if i was in need. It's for my hunting rifle. EH1 hasn't been inlet yet, impact is sitting at home, i still need an action wrench. I'm still rocking my LRI Tempest 6.5x47 for competition and don't have any free time really anymore due to dental shcool. I'm shooting providence this weekend here in jackson, and we're supposedly about to have two more venues down here local to MS.
You guys are doing pretty good my barrel was ordered Aug 27 2 weeks ago i received the email it eararely going to laser and polish
