Night Vision pvs 14 filter

You might be talking about the SN filter (great product) or are you talking about a Wilcox amber filter? I find the Wilcox amber filter. The amber filters tend to get scratched easily, at least mine did.

I know its not the wilcox, the one im looking for looked purple but made the image look almost white instead of the regular green and maybe sharpened it up a little. SN seems a little familiar but im not 100% sure.

An LIF filter on the ocular end has been called the poor man’s white phosphor but good luck trying to find one. I’ve seen some people manufacture their own.

The SNB mentioned above makes the green more subdued and cleans up the image at the expense of darkening the image a little bit. I run mine unless I’m going to be in areas with no ambient light.

Yeah, I tried the LIF on the ocular. I thought I was Blind Mellon Chitlin. Darkened the image way too much.

Jays SNB Filter is what you seek and is the finest filter out there.

Here's a different ($15) filter that's been shipping recently. A user posted up some pictures and thoughts - https://teamvoa.medium.com/live-that-wp-life-on-the-cheap-200061d774d8
Excellent catch JW. Might have to give them a try and see whats up with them.

The thing about Jays SNB filter is not that it changes the Green so much. It is how well it eliminates the scintillation such that you have a much cleaner image.

I have a real noisy pair of Omni 7's that Jays SNB turned into completely new tubes IMHO.

I love Jays filters. For filmed or thin filmed green tubes, they make a huge difference reducing the “snow storm” of no light and low light situations. These do not create the appearance of running a white tube though, just to clarify.

This makes for a much less busy picture without turning on IR, so helps to give the unit an edge towards the unfilmed white performance.

The only thing that does that is white haha.
