Night Vision PVS 14 litton dual battery ANY GOOD?

UPDATED I have a guy looking to swap me a pvs 14 marked us gov. property with a litton dual battery is this thing any good? He says he has a total of 2hrs in 4 yrs on it the warranty says exp. 09 he is sending the serial # i dont have any other info but have request some more pics.THE GUY DID SOME RESEARCH and found out it is a Gen 4 OMNI VI what ever that means and he also os leary about getting rid of it because of the us markings any help there,I told him as long as he bought it legal there shouldnt be a problem correct me if i am wrong.He says he bought it from a district attorney.Thanks

Is it good? Yes, it's a good model and if it's in good working order, then it's a very good scope. It's an older style, but there's nothing wrong with that.

But marked US Government Property? Perhaps someone else can comment, but that sets of warning bells for me. I'd ask a bit about it's history first to make sure it was acquired legally. If it's stolen NV, you might end up having to give it back to Uncle Sam and that would pretty much suck.
