All,

I'm a LEO sniper and my team is in the process of purchasing either PVS 22s or PVS 27s. I've looked at the websites and have the technical information.

Unfortunately the funding source will dry up this week and we need to get the purchase orders in ASAP. There is no time to T and E either one.

I'm hoping for feedback from any that have experience with either or both that might sway our decision one way or the other.

Thanks in advance for your responses,

Geo

Re: PVS 22 or PVS 27

If you are ever going to need NV capabilities on your rifle for: extended range, low or no ambient light sources, best target I.D. then definitely the 27.

For pure metro/city stuff with short ranges and lots of extra ambient light the 22s may work fine.

Otherwise no reason not to with the 27. It is a little heavier and a little bigger but works just as simply with much better performance. The 27 is only a small amount more $ than the 22 also.

Call Mike direct at O.S.T.I. They are the ones that developed the unit and have/support the real deal.

If you want more details, etc., P.M or email me a contact number and I will share what I have seen from working with both.

Geo, give me a call, we sell and train with both and outfit a good number of units along with distributing the OSTI units. We just outfitted a large amount with a So-Cal agency and be glad to pass on the details.
