Night Vision PVS14 to Spotting Scope Adapter

So I need a PVS14 to spotting scope adapter. I want to use the PVS14 on a USO Spotter. Is there one on the market that I can't find that'll work? Or is this gonna turn out to be another custom job?

I'd like something that both the spotter and PVS fit into, vs. something threaded on both ends that would mount it that way. It seems like an easy way to break. A slide fit would allow use of set screws and adjustment of eye relief.

May have to get a round piece of UHMW, or perhaps thick walled aluminum tubing, bored out on both sides the appropriate width and depth. If anyone can or would like to do that job for me, please PM me and we'll work something out.

Anything like this out there? Feel free to talk about it, but if you actually know of where to find this PM please to be sure I get it.

Hey, I appreciate that. I looked at 'em, the Monoloc stuff looks like it might work, but damn! $200+... I'm talking to a guy right now that says he can cut one from Delrin and I can do the finishing on it. The periscope mount won't work but it's kinda what I have in mind but simpler. And cheaper. I'm also less worried about the PVS falling out than I am of it breaking in the mount (why I opted not to just use some kind of threaded coupler).

Turns out the difference between the PVS and the spotter is only around .03! So if I can get the right size piece of the right kind of plastic, a piece of 2"+ scrap really, I'll be able to hone out the ends and voila!

That periscope ustacticalsupply has is pretty slick. One place, I forget who, made a really nice one for half that and it wouldn't reflect light. Ace or somebody? I'd really have liked one when I was in, don't really need one now.

Hey Vic, yeah, I saw this one as well as the ones by Monoloc. They all seemed well made but I didn't have $200+ to drop on that. So I came up with an idea. A member here took up the challenge and made me one out of Delrin and going off just the measurements I was able to take from a caliper and what I told him, he was able to make a very nice adapter. It fits just right, not tight but not too loose and the PVS14 bottomed out and stopped on the perfectly cut groove for the battery cap, giving it as much support as possible. The USO side meets up flush and the set screw holds it down on the knurled locking ring. I drilled and tapped the holes for helicoil inserts and then dremeled them smooth inside and out and installed the nylon 1/4-20 set screws, which hold it down pretty well given it fits well to begin with. Literally made for it, it'd be hard to buy a better one. I would mention the member but I don't want him inundated with requests, however, if he doesn't mind I'll be glad to say who it was. At any rate, it's members like him that make this site what it is. Big thank you!

The entire rig above wouldn't be possible without members: the mount, the eyepiece (not shown) PVS 14 adapter were all fabricated by members and the spotter was bought from one while the tripod was bought from a dealer on the site.
