ALLCON:

You all know I have been running PWS MK1 and MK2 series rifles very hard over the past year and a half... but, if you own any AR, DI or Piston... take a look at this. The Enhanced Buffer Tube is seriously good kit. Worth every penny...

I run these even on my DI rifles.

My only reservation at first, was the flush cups and QD Swivels "ejecting" on me, because 99.9999999% of the time, when I am running my AR, I am using Body Armor and a Single Point Sling because I am mostly in a shoot house. However, this is a non issue when using a VTAC QD Swivel.

Look at this video:

Re: PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube

Yup, we got away from utilizing QDs for sling mounts. MOUT or fire team transitions always saw a weapon drop. Solid points already existed on most of the weapons so we went back to them for 100% reliability. I know people like the functionality of the QD but it's a bitch when you move from the prone to a rush...and transition...to find no rifle accompanying you.

I agree the buffer tube is a very nice piece of kit. I'm sourcing a 10.5" PWS upper now and will swap out the standard milspec tube for one of them.

Re: PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube

BS1,

I agree.

However, I have never had it eject on me once I started running the VTAC Swivel. It's still not as "nice" and fluid as the Magpul ASAP, but it is, what it is.

For a Two Point, I use a Magpul RSA up front, for a good solid attachment point, and I lash into the rear of the stock.

You will really like the MK110 upper. I run the snot out of mine.

Re: PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube

It's a billet vs. forged thing. The extruded aluminum buffer tube should serve any purpose well. If you want additional strength and knowledge that its billet go for that one. It looks like both offer the same functionality with respect to carrier support and stock placement/fitment.

Re: PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube

They sell three. MILSPEC EBT, Pistol EBT, and HK Variant. The HK is the one that is expensive... it's machined from billet 7075 for the HK416, from HK's specs. It will run on any AR, but it is not needed.

I use the regular extruded EBT in all of my builds.

that's the one I'll probably go with on my ar15

Re: PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube

I have the regular version and the pistol version. I bought the first one to try and alleviate some of the carrier tilt in a CMMG gas piston. Someday I'll have a chance to see if it works as advertised.
