Has anyone cmopared both of these suppressors? Im still looking for my first 30 cal can, and considering one of these from Q. Of course since its my first can, it will be as "do all" as possible. But realistically it will spend about 60% of the time on a 21" 308 bolt gun, 30% of the time on a 16.5" 6.5CM bolt gun, and 10% on a 300blk pistol. Is the tone of the full nelson worth the extra length?

Second the Nomad, tons of mount options too since it is compatible with all QD systems that can fit the Omega.

If this is basically only for bolt guns though (like you mention in the OP) I'd go TBAC Ultra 9.

The Full Nelson meters fantastic, but it is fairly large at 1.75" x 9".

I've got one in jail now. Bought it for my 22" 6.5 Creedmoor build.

The Nomad looks like a great can as well and I'll probably add one to the collection in the future. I got a screaming deal on the FN during the Accusport liquidation.

I have a Trash panda ( QD version of the Half nelson) I have only run it on 300BLK and think it is great it practically weighs nothing.. And from the stats the Full Nelson dose not weigh much more..... I would say weight is not a consideration to worry about.. It is going to spend most on bolt guns that are already long.... get the longer can!! the only down side is length on you SBR you are gonna use 10% of the time anyway and only thing you are losing is a little compactness.. If i was running mine on anything but a short 300BLK i would have got the longer can..... And probably will anyway in the next year lol

I agree with Blaster7Romeo. I also have a trash panda to run on my 300BLK SBR. I got it just to keep everything compact. If I had to do it over again I think I would have gotten the Thunder Chicken/Full Nelson so it could be more of an all around can. Trash Panda works good on subs but Im afraid it wont be quite enough on my 6.5.

any other thoughts on full(thunder chicken) vs half ( trash panda)? I have Specwar 7.62 and a Hybrid can already for long guns . TC is shorter and way lighter, but TP is 0.9" shorter than hybrid and 5.5oz lighter. just seems too cool. or look at sig 762ti qd? or dead air nomad

Bigger is always better if you are ok with the extra length and weight. The trash panda/half nelson aren't small cans and should offer good enough suppression, but the bigger versions will be quieter. It's a trade off only you can answer.

Food for thought is ... the same people designed the sig cans and Q cans.. the Q cans could be considered an evolution of the Sig cans.... same taper.. the sig can has a secondary latch that was requested buy the military.. but my trash panda has never come lose..

observed the full nelson from Q "online" today. in the market for a "quieter" for a TRG42 in 300WM. planning to go with a TBAC Gen 2, because of reviews and those guys rock. anyone has any field experience with a full nelson in 300WM. the price and reviews look solid. thanks!

They dont make that can any more. You might be able to find one in stock somewhere though. For use on a magnum, there are quite a few ti and steel cans that are at least as light or lighter, and quieter.

Thats subsonic 300 blk, pretty sure those rankings change a lot on his 308 tests. Im not a subscriber any more, so I can only see some of the data. The Thunder chicken doesn’t break the top 20 in muzzle or shooters ear on a 20” 308.
