Night Vision Question about Knight Vision UNS-LR A2 vs PVS-30

Not sure this helps but Vic from TNVC posted this back in 2017 when the question came up.

Comfortable mag range at 15x-17x with a bit faster glass. It competes VERY well with the PVS-27 MUNS (the only system I feel does), but without the weight.

So ideally, something like this would be best: https://www.sureshotnightvision.com/pvs-27/

Looks like the 27 with a WP tube costs a bit less than the 30, sound about right to you?

I sell a fair share of them. Big fan other than weight. Best prism out there period.
Basically from a design perspective, it is a 30 front end with an A2 rear. Ergonomically, the power/gain switch and focus fin are the biggest advantages.

The newer 30LW will take a bunch of these design features and shave off some significant weight without losing any of the recoil ratings etc. 30LW is not released for public consumption YET. ;)

I'm checking out your site and I see the 30, but I don't see a white phoshpor PVS 27. Do you make those special order or is that something exclusive to Sureshot Night Vision? Or am I looking in the wrong area?

What's the weight difference between the 27 and the LR A2?

And when is the 30 LW going to be revealed?

I do not sell the new/ or retubed 27s. The 27s certainly are nice but getting new (wp) units from Flir and or getting them serviced by Flir has proven to be a challenge .....even more so in the last 2 yrs.
KAC products have proven to be exceptionally well designed and the customer service is exceptional even if you are not DOD/federal. I'm a huge fan.

I had a KAC PVS-26 which was the predecessor to the 30 so I am out of my element other then to pass on some previously posted info in an attempt to help.

There is company that posts here (forgot who) that can put in a WP tube into PVS-27 if you bought one. I also believe that you can just buy one from them with a WP tube they installed.

PVS-27 has a stated weight of 3.125lbs and the KAC UNS LR-A2 has a stated weight of 2.9lbs. The real difference is that the objective lens on the 27 is much larger.
