I have an older 700 LTR with what I believe is an HS Precision stock with DBM. Is this correct? I am wanting to sell it so I can get a B&C for it but I do not want to price it as an HS stock if its not.

Re: Question about my stock...

Yes, it's an LTR HS stock that is inletted for Factory Remington DBM. The bottom metal is factory Remingtion, not HS bottom metal.

You do know that on the factory rem DBM rifles the feed rails on the action are cut different than the non-DBM rem actions, and that action is stuck to using DBM bottom metal. I found that out the hard way. You can still run any DBM metal, but not BDL or ADL.

The stock itself can be ran with BDL metal though.

I plan to get the B&C Medalist/Tactical and have Jeff from CDI Precision inlet the stock for his bottom metal that takes DBM.

So can someone with say an SPS-T with the hogue stock use my HS?

+1 on what Brad said.

I was able to convert a factory ADL box mag to work with my DBM action in my UARS (blind mag) stock. I basically Dremeled the mag to fit the stock and bent the mag lips to become a center feed.

Now if the bottom metal system you are trying to convert to uses ceter feed magazines you 'should' be OK but I would call the tech/service dept of the manufacturer to confirm before commiting any funds to it.

I'm looking at the Wyatt's bottom metal right now since it is supposed to fit the B&C with little or no fitting.
