Rifle Scopes Question about the Vortex Viper Riflescope

Im planning on purchasing an optic for my remington 700 bdl chambered in .270 Win. Im inquiring about everyones opinion on the Vortex Viper 6.5X20X50 pa riflescope. any reviews on this optic would be appreciated here is the link to the site

i have one with the mil-dot reticle, i like it. for the money it does everything you can ask. Its repeatble and glass is good. I have had it out past 6-800 yds on many occasions and i never have a problem coming back to 100yd zero.

Complaints: 1)at high magnification, the eye box is very finiky making it more difficult to get that perfect sight picture. 2)No matching reticle and turrets 3)reticle is a little thick for dedicated paper target use.

The only problem I've had with the scope is when shooting anything that kicks more than around a .308. Depending on your shooting position, the short eye relief could be a problem for some.

It is a very good optic for the price. I got both of mine on closeout from Camera land. The glass is good and I have not had any problem with tracking

I also have the Mil-dot version and have no real complaints. Eye relief could be a little longer, but the performance of the scope itself has been good.

Had one of these units and yeah the eye relief was short at higher power but the glass was excellent!

I would save up and get someting better than a viper.
