Hi all.
I recently bought a custom action and a Timney trigger, and they'll be arriving next week. I'm not sure if either of those two items come with the pins that hold the trigger to the action. Do I need to buy the pins separately? If so, please tell me the exact name for the part, so I would know what to search for.

Thank you.

I would say most custom actions come with the pins for the trigger, but if they don't you can order them from Brownells or many other places. The front pin is a Rem 700 sear pin and the rear pin is a Rem 700 bolt stop pin

Another question. The Timney trigger came with a bolt release lever thing which I don't need for my Curtis Axiom. Can I just remove the bolt release? I see that a hex screw is holding it in place, but I want to make sure I'm not going to mess up my trigger.

You can remove the bolt release for the 700 without issue. I would suggest putting the screw back in place but make sure when you put it in that you don't drive it too far into the housing because it will bind up the safety bar function.

And as far as pins go, if you need them don't buy them from Brownells just give us a call. We keep the 1/8x5/8 dowel pins around by the box, I have no problem mailing you a couple for the cost of shipping.

My action did come with the trigger pins. But thank you for the offer and the installation tip! Much appreciated.
