And here I was thinking god made man and woman to his own image.
Have you read the Bible?
Genesis 1:26
Elohim (God) wayyomer (said) naaseh (make)
adam (Adam) besalmenu (resemblence, a representative figure) kidmutenu (model, shape, like) weyirdu (to tread down, subjugate, rule) bidgat (fish) hayyam (sea) ubeowp (flying creatures) hassamayim (sky, heaven) ubabehema (beast, animal) ubekal (the whole, any, all, every) haares (earth, land) ubekal (the whole, any, all, every) haremes (reptile) haromes (crawl) al- (above, over, against) haares (earth, land)
Genesis 1:27
Elohim (God) wayyibra (to create, to cut down, select, feed)
haadam (Adam) besalmow (resemblance, a representative figure)...
God specifically says that he made ADAM, in his own image. God specifically says adam/haadam, not issah (woman) or leissah (a woman) as used in Genesis 2:22.
Genesis 2:22
Hassela (a rib, plank) aser- (who, which, what, that, when, where, how, because, in order that) yahweh (LORD, the proper name of the God of Israel) elohim (God) laqah (to take) min- (from) haadam (Adam) wayyiben (to build) leissah (a woman, wife, female) waybieha (to come in, come, go in, go) el- (near, with, among, to) haadam (Adam).
This is only rational since God is not both man and woman but chooses the male form only. How could a woman be in his resemblance if God is male? God chooses a male form. Jesus was a man. All desciples were men.
Your comment is willful ignorance. The truth is there for all who seek it.
Further, we don't just learn of God by studying His word (scripture), we also learn by studying His works (the universe and everything in it). The fundamental truth that male and female are different is readily apparent to anyone with the eyes to see it.
