Got in line for an SR-25 PC today and was wondering what all the rifle comes with out of the box, IE irons, how many mags, ect.

The SR25s usually come in a Knights-branded hard case back up iron sights. Paperwork includes the test target of 5 rounds, along with any receipts etc.
I’m not sure if a mag is included but my APC came with one 20 rounder in packaging when I bought it new from someone who bought from KAC and never fired it.
ETA: just looked at Knights website and yea, not a lot of information insofar as what all comes with the rifles. Sorry if I came off like a dick in my initial reply.

I have just about finished my 14.5" SR-25.....cobbling parts/assemblies together for the past 6 months!

Trigger is great right out of the box!
Mine was ordered from KAC in 2001 so all I remember is it came with is one mag.
I ordered KAC rings, Cleaning rod and a lot of mags at the time.
I have put offset KAC irons on it but they don’t adjust well and are really useless, they are coming off.

One of the first swaps I did was a Geissele SSA trigger ( I have ~10 others installed) for the OEM KAC 2-stage "match" trigger; I found the KAC quite gritty and an indistinct transition to the final 2.5 lb. stage, compared to the Geissele.
I like the KAC trigger more than the Geissele. I'd shoot it before changing anything.
Years back I asked Jack at KAC what I would need to change out on the SR15/SR25 when I was making my first purchase. He told me to run it first. Ended up never needing to change anything.

I assume this is the same trigger as in my SR30. I run the SSA in all 3 other AR rifles I own. If I could feel a significant difference, I'd have swapped to the SSA for consistency. Yet, I did not. I think the 1st stage of take up is a slightly different weight of somethinglike 1.5 vs. 2 lbs, and the final stage for both is 4.5 lbs and the reset may be ever so slightly distinguishable, but I can't remember which is which unless I do a side by side comparison. When I'm actually shooting, I cannot tell the difference. I won't change them.

Trigger is good. Its kind of has a SSA feel. It gets better as you shoot it. There is a bit more creep than a geissele IMO but I have only shot one. I swapped mine with a geissele national match. Knights warns not to go below 4.5lbs if you do swap out the trigger. Geissele recommends the National match, SSA and the SD-C.
This. One mag, black plastic hard case (a little better than the usual cheap ones but not a Hardigg or Pelican) test target, wire bound full size manual, a few targets, one 20rd. mag, Keymod came with panel covers for back half of tube. Mine came with a QDC flash hider and inline flip up sights (that I traded for offsets). I wanna say it came with at least one rail section? I ordered some other shit too so I could be wrong there, it's been a few years. I seem to recall the Mloks coming with a bit less, maybe without the panels.
I got mine direct from KAC too with a .mil account. It's the only way to go.
I ordered the cleaning kit with extra bolt, it's a pretty nice setup and I threw some more shit in it and it works as a do it all field kit now. And ten more mags, their mags are the best IMO, some of the longest OAL.
Yeah, trigger is on par with an SSA-E, I swapped mine with a Hi-Speed too BUT I also traded off another Hi-Speed for another one of these... IMO the SR25 deserves the Hi-Speed but you really can't beat the KAC 2 stage for a reliable and solid 2 stage shooter in an M4. It's a lot beefier with more contact area than the Geissele. You may feel different, it's certainly a fine trigger.
Really is ready to just mount up an optic and shoot.
Just a guess but wondering if the trigger started failing drop tests when set below 4.5 LBs.
Thanks for the inputs. Looking forward to a rifle that doesn’t need anything but an optic and a bipod, right out of the box. Time to get comfy for the 6-9 month lead time.
Maybe more like 11 months. I'm 9 months into my wait, now. That's what I've read other SR25 guys have waited recently.
Okay, so to clear shit up, the Hi-Speed is adjustable. IMO the best thing to do is to select the weight close to 4.5 or thereabouts (DMR version?) and loctite the adjustment screws in place with blue loctite. Now I've never seen one move without the loctite but it's better safe than sorry and that's why military rifles never have the adj. trigger in the first place.

Hi-Speed has reduced lock time, less creep and overtravel and in general is a crisper, more controllable trigger. At any weight.
Playing around with various M4's, I've never been able to cause one to bump fire that was on safe.
I'm sure with KAC's contracts that they beat the shit out of 'em without the safety on --with the idea soldiers will IMT with these weapons and forget to put 'em on safe. It's not something I'd worry about.
But yeah, don't use the 2lb. or whatever springs in it, that's kinda stupid. Nobody buys these to bolt into a bench anyway.
FWIW, I use 3G triggers in a few rifles and no problems short of limp grips causing doubles... Hold it like a man and no issues.
I put an Atlas on it at first but later popped a Harris on it, just faster. But all my Atlas shit is the type with the rotating legs and I hate that.

SR25 and Mk20 are both good options, I have both and both are keepers. SR25 is really the better made of the two, finer quality, no damn screws. I feel it could benefit from a better stock and I did shell out the hundreds for the adj. buttplate fixed stock but the LMT adj. that comes with it has a better cheekweld. It may look sorta dumb on a 20" rifle but it does perform. Probably should have just left it.

It’s what I was quoted, but we all know how the gun industry goes.
I just emailed them and asked. The mil/le department replied and gave me a mil discount, so I don’t know if they’ll go that route for everyone or not. I don’t see why they wouldn’t though.
I’ve been running a scar17 for about 9 years now and it’s been a pretty good rifle, but I’m ready to try something different and keep what I like the best.
I just did this swap. I was able to sell my scar during Covid for insane money. I just picked up an PC and it is very AR other than the recoil. Super impressed by how it handles gas while suppressed. I never loved the ergos of the scar. The SR is opposite but I shoot a lot of gas guns.
I did a brief barrel break in and everything has been sub moa. Most in the .8 area and good groups in the .6 area with GMM. It is heavier than my scar especially with the glass I have on it (3-18), I was running a 1-6 on the scar. My scar was 1.5 moa all day with GMM and some sub moa groups. I have been very impressed so far with the SR. I'm about 500 rounds in. I think you will like it depending on what you are looking for - battle rifle vs more of a precision rifle that can dip into the battle role if need be.
