Question for the hive

I have a Casepro roll sizer. These rollsizers only size the bottom of the case. The case still needs to be sized in a FL or Body die and shoulder bumped. A rollsizer’s purpose is to make case sizing easier on a progressive. It reduces sizing effort.

I have a roll sizer for 9mm and 45 ACP so when the 223 conversion became available this year I added it.

Rolling is my first step then I proceed to FL sizing etc.

I just started testing roll sized vs not roll sized with other load parameters the same as I can make them.

Shooting 5 shot groups @ 200 yards in my 26" WOA AR15. So far I don't see the difference accuracy wise.

The first thing I did notice is that roll sized brass trims more consistently in my Giraud power trimmer.

Also, OFB range brass is plentiful here so the roll sizing eliminates the generous chamber brass issue.

More testing to be done...

So roll sizing 9mm doesn't completely size it down? So you're still sizing it in a normal die?

I always though the benefit of roll sizing was so you didn't have to do that with pistol calibers like that
