Updated question on the Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS:

Anyone with experience with the scope with the illuminated mil dot reticle?

Is it center / outer crosshairs illuminated, like the TMR? Or can it be used as a quasi red dot, like the H27D reticle?

Thanks.

Ken

Re: Best Deal on Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS w H27D ?

Yes of course, there's a super secret website (www.supergooddealonleupoldmark8cqbss.com) where if you put in the coupon code "IMSOTACTICAL" you get the scope for under 2500 bucks!!!

On a serious, there is NO retailer anywhere that is selling the CQBSS TMR for $2400. Nobody.

The only way to get that scope below 2400 is to buy direct through Leupolds military program. And the Horus is over $500 more than the TMR.

Re: Question Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS w Mil Dot

Bump for any info on the CQBSS with the mil dot reticle.

Also read somewhere that this optics / reticle combination incorporates a 5moa red dot for lower magnification use?

Anyone ever use this combo?

Re: Question Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS w Mil Dot

The CQBSS with the M-TMR reticle does not have daylight visible illumination like the H-27 version does. There is a mil dot version out now that is the same regarding the illumination, not daylight visible.

I have the H-27 Mark 8 on my LMT MWS. I was going to wait for the Schmidt Bender 1-8x but after the SHOT show I decided to get the Leupold as the S&B is not likely to be available soon.

Re: Question Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS w Mil Dot

I waited and waited for the S&B, but ended up with the Leupold CQBSS w/H27 and could not be more pleased.

Now I am waiting on the the 1-6

Re: Question Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS w Mil Dot

Thanks for the info, guys.

So I guess the only option for daylight visible illumination is with the H27D reticle.
