Question on a weapons light

A buddy gave this to me years ago because the tape switch messed up. I'm trying to figure out who made it. Surefire says they didn't make it. It looks like a very early 660

who made this light it had a tape switch out the back

Did you take the cap(s) off and look around the interior for any markings?
