Rifle Scopes Question on PST 1-4x24 brightness settings

I just installed one on my buddies rifle. Setting 5 seems a little too dim and 6 is way too bright for low light. Anybody else have the same issue? Setting 6 has flaring due to being way to bright in low light. To me its pretty much useless. Eotech is far more user friendly as far as brightness setting.

Yeah I noticed that as well although I didn't see any flaring. I think the explanation was that 1-5 were for night vision use but I don't remember exactly.

If you have any problems Vortex's customer service is awesome. They are really willing to work with you and try to resolve your problem as effectively as they can. They have done some pretty awesome things for there customers.... never know. Its worth a try.

Yep mine does the same thing. But then again I really don't use the illumination thus it isn't an issue for me.

Did you have the lights off long enough to allow your eyes to adjust? The dim settings tend to work better if you've been in the dark for awhile.

I know it takes a bit for your eyes to adjust. Just see the lit reticle feature as a major drawback on the scope. It needs to be brighter in day light and better setting for low light conditions.
