Question on selling a takeoff barrel

I'm looking at a couple unfired Remington rifles to purchase for a donor action. Which takeoff barrel is usually easier to sell in a Remington Varmint contour? A .243 or .308?

Also, what is a fair price to ask?

50-100, it just depends on the market, but I think a 308 would be easier to sell.
