Do you still have to trim your cases after neck sizing?
What is the big advantage of neck sizing?
Will it improve your accuracy?
This is for 223 wit wylde chamber in a bolt action...
I just ordered a Lee collet die...Thanks

The advantage of neck sizing is extended brass life. The advantage of neck sizing with LCND is improved concentricity. The disadvantage of neck sizing is it is harder to close the bolt which gets harder and harder with every firing until it gets so hard you break off your he bolt handle, forcing you to body size every so many reloads.

1.How you size your brass has no bearing on trimming.
2. With todays measuring tools, and info readily available, it's negotiable if there is any. Neck sizing after the first firing allowing all brass to grow to chamber size may not be a bad thing though, before fl sizing thereafter.
3. A lot of tales out there, most 25 yrs old. Todays thoughts are, fl size with minimal bump, uniform case growth upon firing seems to be lending itself to accuracy.

I neck size 4 times then anneal and set back shoulder and trim then repeat.
Usually the trim is very minor.
I do it because I'm lazy and neck sizing with a Lee collet is super fast and easy.
