I considered a quick detach mount for my Tac A1. Mostly because I come from an AR background and that's just what people do w/ ARs. After some thought, I decided I didn't need the added expense (usually more for the qd than standard mount if all else is the same) and why in the World would I do anything that 'could' compromise the accuracy and confidence in that accuracy for the most accurate bow in the quiver? I bought the best mount I could afford, Spuhr, and mounted it and forgot about it. There's no reason to unmount it or dick with the mount unless I make a conscious decision to do so. Like moving it forward or back after initial use. Once you find the spot, leave it alone. It's your scalpel and it needs to be sharp when needed.
Your needs and results may differ. Just my opinion from a guy that was in the same starting spot.
