Hey guys, i recently bought a 700 SPS-V to build up as a project rifle. I bought it on Memorial day and have yet to shoot the thing. I installed a new stock, sent the bolt out to have a bolt knob installed, installed the scope and mount all that good stuff but have NOT been able to shoot it. Well here's my issue now. I finally got my bolt back today and figured "hey awesome, lets load her up and see what she does!"
Welp, i pop in a round go to chamber it and the bolt handle will NOT go down without some force. There's a loud "CLICK" as the bolt comes down, then when i eject the round i notice a nasty score mark on the edge of the rim. What could be causing this? I can't return the gun to where i bought it and it's no longer under warranty in its "altered" state so i'm pretty much stuck fixing the issue. Any ideas? Here are some pics of what i'm looking at:
What do you guys think? New extractor?
