I think this is more gimmicky than anything else. It hasn't been an issue until now. If you think you need it...

I honestly don't know what you mean here.
Again, if it comes in at $1000 it should be worth having over some of the other chassis systems. If pricier, you are in the neighborhood of factory sniper rifles that are full systems and not cobbled together.
