Advanced Marksmanship Ranging with mildot ? does maganfication matter?

I am using a USO Canadian and 2 of the Premier scopes my range is 2 hours away and would like to know when using these scopes all first focal plane does this effect the ranging when isong the mildot markings?

I did not think it did on forst focal plane but does on second plane scopes.

The magnification does not matter on FFP scopes. If you look through the optic while changing the power, you will note that on an FFP scope, the reticle changes in size as you change the power, so that the relationship between the field of view and the reticle is always the same.
