Gunsmithing Rattlecan Paint for Beech Stock?

I have an old beater stock I'd like to paint instead of refinish. Rather than Truck Bed Liner (which worked pretty darn well) is there a good paint recommendation so I could transform this brown piece of cheap wood in something OD Green or Sako Green?

Something tougher than Krylon but that doesn't need to be baked.

Polane is what is used by some of the top shops for coating stocks and chassis'

Some of that Vietnam era tigerstripe camo would look great on an M1A if that is what you are painting.
