RCBS Vibratory case cleaner

Today I got an order from Mid south that had the RCBS cleaner in it. I filled it 1/2 full with media put in 50 .308 cases and turned it on. I came back into the garage in 1.5 hours to the smell of burning electrical components. The cleaner had turned itself off, and the (transformer0 I think was giving off a quite a bit of heat.

Mid South is sending a call tag for me to return it, should I try another RCBS or go with a different Manufacturer?

Has this happened to anyone else.

I am glad I did not leave the house for more time...

My first RCBS tumbler lasted two months, the second is still going strong now, it's 5 years old.

I have had a RCBS tumbler now for 6months with no problems.

I guess a shitty one gets shipped out once in awhile and you got it! Bad luck. Thats good they are going to give you a new one. alot of places take months to respond.

I orderred a Lyman 1200 turbo tumbler from Natchez a couple weeks ago but when i received it and opened the box, the steel pillar in the middle of the bowl is damaged (shape changed) however the packing box is looking good. When i tested it to let it run 2 hours to clean my cases, it worked alright. but the second day when i tried to use it again, it never worked.

I went away from tumblers and went ultrasonic... cleans so much better on the inside of the case..

i had good luck with the frankfort arsenal set up. it was a kit from midway. 1500 308 so far. i know thats not much, but it was nonstop for the first week

set mine on a soft mat to keep it from moveing around no air flow melted the plastic in it

.308Shooter, I have a Branson B-200 that I used at work and it did a great job, it is just a little small. It only has a 15oz tank and will clean about 25 308s at a time. I went to harbor freight and bought a bigger ultrasonic cleaner, very nice looking with digital timer and heater. I can sit a loading block of 50 308s over in there and run it.
For some reason it does not clean the cases as fast.
Im just using that one now for to rinse after the cleaning cycle in the Branson.

I use the one from Midway and the first one didn't last very long. The second one is probably okay but I haven't used it nearly as much as I used the first one.
