I have switched bipods which has lowered the rifle but have noticed my current rear bags are now too tall. Are there other models either offered by protektor, edgewood or other bag manufactures the offer lower bases with the same ear set up bunny or rabbit. I currently have the Protektor 13B with rabbit ears.

Thanks
Trevor

Re: Rear Bag for low mounted bipod

Have you considered using a bean bag such as the ones made by Red Tac Gear? I use a 'tactical pillow' model under the back end of my F/TR gun with pretty good results.

Re: Rear Bag for low mounted bipod

I just switched to an Atlas V8 bipod and had the same problem. I am using a bean bag from Sinclair but it is not as solid as my Edgewood. More practice I guess

Re: Rear Bag for low mounted bipod

One of the next things I have to tinker with. I've been using a cheap Winchester bag that I got a Walmart but it never seems to be the right height, and it is very hard to adjust by squeezing.

I need to change but it's one of many things I'm working on.

I agree....When shooting I carry 2 different bags with me, and the TAB is always used when I need to get low.

I use a short notch leg Harris. I find that for me it's most comfortable to shoot with 3 notches showing. Not sure if that qualifies as 'low' but it's how I shoot it.

I started to try 4 in a match today and immediately decided it wasn't steady enough.

Re: Rear Bag for low mounted bipod

I use 4 different bags, from tiny to big. Also, I bring several thickness of wooden board to put them on and fine tune the height. I like to be really low to the ground. Sometimes it is not possible when the range has dirt berm to shoot from that are not level.
