Gunsmithing rebarrel AR-30

I have a chance to buy the following barrel blank,Krieger .338 SS blank
#17 altered contour-5" straight 1.25", then tapering to .9" at the muzzle.

I would like to know if this would be compatible with the AR-30 that currently has the stock 338lm 26' barrel.

I got the info that I needed from A10XRIFLE, this barrel will work. It should be quite an improvement from the old one. It is 35", now to figure the best finished length.

Ray,
Since you are fixing up an AR30 I have a tip. I helped a friend
of mine out with one he had. The trigger was horrible. I was able
to replace it with a Timeny Rem 700 trigger. I just had to remove
about 1/16 from the front ears of the trigger housing if I remember
correctly. Other than that, exact matchup.

I've never even thought about it, and I've got bunches of AR parts/rifles and 700 parts/rifles.

Don't have any pics. Talking about the Armalite AR30 bolt action

Scimitar, what do you mean the trigger was horrible? They all come from the factory with a shilen trigger that is adjustable and the one on my AR-30 is great
