Night Vision Received My PVS-14...How Did I Do?

I ordered the L3, WP, film less with zone 3 blem from N Vision.

PVS-14 Monocular (Unfilmed White Phosphor L-3 IIT, zone 3 blemish)

The blem isn't in my field of view unless I shift my eye. Full moon out so will be a bit before I can give it a real workout.

How do my specs look?

Having good resolution and signal to noise ratio in the same tube is good. The signal to noise ratio will be your biggest concern on shitty nights, fog, in the woods, etc. Trust me. In PNW, in rain forest, you gotta have it.

I've got a hand select tube and short of having any blemishes, the numbers seem similar (I'd have to actually look). So you done good.

ITAR violation? Jesus christ like anyone interested in NV capabilities doesn't already know that... I bet they have the specs in fucking Bhutan for crying out loud. American laws, just gotta have more...

They go to 81 for L3. Higher for Photonis but that’s a difference in measurement only—L3 reports resolution at 57, 64, 72 or 81 and your unit might be 63, 71, 80 and rounding is always down.

It’s surprisingly simple. Just use this basic formula:

Signal to Noise Ratio times Center Resolution. In your case, 2520.

Those are awesome tubes. Figure of merit is your SNR x your center resolution. 35 x 72= 2520 FOM. Fom is not the end all be all, that being said the rest of your specs are very solid as well.

The link is in my OP and it took two and a half months for delivery. It is a blem and not something they have just sitting around. If you want immediate delivery then the non-blem version will run you over $4K.

Dang, that's sweet. I ended up getting a photonis echo.

I'll have to post up my sheet and see what everyone says.
